2. . -PR - we sent out a
-. "save the date" flyer,
- a flyer with details and volunteer sign up
-. rsvp half sheet
3. a fiesta remeinder half sheet the week of / day before the fiesta
**A suggestion; for the next fiesta, let's include the rsvp form on the intial volunteer request
sheet. This way the parents need to respond no matter what early on. Could send a second
rsvp form later on also.
4. -When talk to students about fiesta and volunteering food, perhaps have easy recipes ready to pass out that they can take home and show parents for ideas. Our group share has food pictures and easy recipes to go with them. Can post recipes on your moodle too, or email them to parents
5.. Volunteer forms when students return them: send to Ester, the volunteer chair, all the info (email and/or hard copy) and cc the appropriate committee. Ester, then contacts the volunteers to confirm and puts the data on a spreadsheet. From there she sends the spreadsheet to the chairs in advance so they know the number of volunteers working with them, and they may contact the volunteers if needed
8.. -Good 18 min. movie that shows Latin America / Spain; "Spanish Speaking Countries". Available at IMTC in CD or video. Can check out to show your 5th graders in class
